Ecolyse Inc. is a College Station biotechnology company developing tools to combat microbial problems in the petroleum, biofuel, and water treatment industries.
Ecolyse is hiring microbiologists at the BS, MS, and PhD levels.
Ecolyse is interested in Bacteriologists with broad microbiological experience. These individuals will be responsible for the isolation and culturing of problem bacteria from various samples. These might include sulfate-reducing bacteria, acid-producing bacteria and filamentous bacteria. Candidates will need evidence of sufficient microbiological lab experience.
Ecolyse is also interested in Phage Biologists with experience in isolation and propagation of bacteriophage. Alternatively, individuals with large-scale Microbial Fermentation experience who are willing to develop phage protocols specifically for large volume fermentation will be considered.
Additionally, Ecolyse is looking for Bacteriologists with detailed knowledge of bacterial metabolic pathways. This position will focus on developing and curating a database that focuses on correlating high-throughput bacterial diversity data to information on relevant metabolic traits. Industrially relevant metabolic traits include sulfidogenesis, acidogenesis, hydrocarbon biodegradation, biofilm formation, cellulosic feedstock fermentation, and others.
